Football, Anniversary and Dirty Dash

After Jason gave me so so much crap about not updating the blog, I felt guilted into updating a little today.  I told Jase he can always update it himself but I doubt that will happen.  So here is my attempt to update.  I know I will be so very grateful I did it, it just seems so daunting to go back so far.

We bought BYU Football season tickets this year.  I have been wanting to do this for a while.  We couldn't get enough for our whole family, only 3, but this next year we hope to get all 7.  It was super fun to take turns going to the games with everyone.  This game that Ashley and her friend Cameron came to was crazy.  It had been POURING rain and I wasn't looking forward to getting drenched.  They had to delay the game over an hour because there was so much water.

Amazingly, once the game started we didn't get a drop of rain and it ended up being a really great game. Jason's brother Shane has 2 tickets right in front of us which makes the games even more fun.

In September, Jason and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary.  I met Jason after work at the Provo Temple so we could do a session and then we went to dinner.  We had a really nice and fun night together.  I feel so blessed to be married to Jason.  He is the perfect match for me. The sun was right in our eyes when we were taking the pictures so we look a little goofy.

For our 20th we really want to go on a cruise.  Since Sept isn't cruising season, we're going to wait until after Christmas and then go.  It will be a perfect break from the cold.

On our way home we had to stop at IFA (a farmer store).  I think I have been in this store a total of twice in the 20 years I have lived in UT.  Jason found these cowboy boots on clearance and I double dog dared him to buy them.  He didn't.

Jason and I played on a co-ed softball team.  That was a first for us.  We played with a bunch of ladies that I Zumba with.  It was super fun until one game I was running to 3rd base and the other team threw the ball super hard and it hit my wrist.  Everyone thought it was broken and my wrist actually had the stitching from the ball imprinted on it.  It was super swollen and I couldn't play the rest of the game.  I kept it iced and elevated but by morning I was fine and I knew it wasn't broken. I may have yelled a little at the guy who didn't catch the ball but I later apologized.

Our fun team. Jason informed me he won't be playing anymore.  It's just too hard on his ankle.  I don't blame him.  He would limp for days after each game and that's no fun.  He told me to find a substitute husband to go and play with me next year.

During this a few of the kids and I ran in the Dirty Dash again!  Jason refuses to do this, he hates wet feet in shoes and Ryan is still too young.  Cameron had football games and stayed home to do that.

We ran with the Workman's again.  It was amazing Matt could do this with us since just 2 short months earlier his appendix burst before doctors could remove it and he scared the heck out of us by being hospitalized for 2 weeks recovering.

We always have the best time with the Workman's doing anything so it was a great day.  I didn't get to do the 10K this year like I did last because poor Olivia was so freezing cold.  I couldn't make her finish with me when I knew she was so painfully miserable.  I even paid the 8$ for her to have the warm shower after.  The lady in charge was so so nice and let me and Livy have the warm shower for that price.  We didn't tell anyone else about that until we left.  Blake and Ash had to have to cold shower.  It's apart of the whole experience.  I don't know if we will do it again this year since Blake will be gone on his mission and Livy doesn't want to do it.  I guess we'll have to see.

We also spent a lot of time on the football field watching Cameron play football.  He is such a good player!  It is fun to see him play.  He kicks some serious butt out there.
